Its new FType Elite downlight represents a significant advancement in installation efficiency and practical functionality, Luceco says, and it was developed through extensive collaboration with contractors who install thousands of downlights annually.
The development team worked alongside a dedicated focus group of electrical professionals, observing their installation processes and gathering insights that have directly influenced the product’s design. This collaborative approach has resulted in adjustments that specifically address common installation challenges.

• ClipFit System that allows full unrestricted access for easier wiring. Once cables are attached, a simple push into the housing and close of the lid secures the cables.
• Optimised cable exit designed specifically for smooth fitting through a 76mm cutout
• Advanced NEL/NEL PushFit terminal blocks compatible with both solid and stranded cables
• A QuickView window enabling swift cable inspection after the lid is secured
• Removable terminal block with first/second fix connector that dramatically reduces 500V testing time during full installations.
The FType Elite maintains Luceco’s premium features, including a wide 60-degree baffled back lens for reduced glare, while incorporating the new practical innovations. The power change range offers versatility with both 4 Colour CCT or D2W CCT options, delivering flexibility for any installation environment.
Fire-rated and fully compliant with Part L building regulations, the FType Elite has undergone comprehensive testing to ensure reliable performance in every application.
