When Snowleader, a French company specialising in the sale of mountain sports equipment, was seeking a new energy-efficient lighting system for its logistics centre in Versoud, Isère, it turned to TRILUX – a provider of LED lighting systems for a variety of sectors and applications.

Specialising in the distribution of ski and mountain equipment, Snowleader aspires to be a frontrunner in online outdoor retail while maintaining a strong environmental ethos. The launch of its new distribution centre in Isère, equipped with an automated storage and retrieval system (AutoStore), underscores Snowleader’s dedication to operational excellence and eco-friendly practices. This facility, four times larger than its predecessor, is poised to process an impressive 350 parcels per hour, with plans to dispatch one million parcels annually within the next three years.
The heart of Snowleader’s sustainability efforts lies in its lighting infrastructure upgrade. TRILUX replaced outdated iodide luminaires with 400 MIRONA FIT LED luminaires, renowned for their durability and efficiency in demanding environments. Boasting a service life of 100,000 hours even under high ambient temperatures, the MIRONA FIT LED ensures both longevity and cost-effectiveness. With a remarkable energy efficiency of up to 170 lm/W, Snowleader anticipates over 84% in lighting energy savings, facilitated by the LIVELINK light management system. This means that the system pays for itself after just 32 months, allowing Snowleader to finance the new installation with the savings achieved by LEDs.
