NAPIT wins Marketing Campaign of the Year Award at TAF 2012

NAPIT has won the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award at this year’s Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards.

This eagerly anticipated annual ceremony was packed with hundreds of guests, affiliated with trade associations from across the UK, showcasing some of their best work at the Plaisterer’s Hall, London on 28th June 2012.

The standard was high, with competitors including other prestigious companies from all over the country, but NAPIT’s innovative ‘promotion by postcode’ campaign proved strong enough to fend off the competition and claim a well deserved first place trophy.

Group director Michael Andrews said, ‘This has been a very successful campaign for NAPIT, our marketing department has certainly worked hard and we all feel very privileged to have had that hard work honoured at TAF 2012.’

The campaign, which continues to run on a quarterly basis in local newspapers across the country, uses a targeted ‘promotion by postcode’ approach, helping consumers find NAPIT registered tradesmen in their region.

This award winning campaign also features regular editorial, covering; electrical safety, the benefits of renewable energy technologies, the importance of using a Registered Installer and, most importantly, includes the contact details of all the NAPIT registered tradesmen and businesses relevant to homeowners in each local area. Alongside this editorial, the NAPIT marketing team also ran a series of competitions, including a range of prizes worth up to £500, to strengthen the campaign.

This creative new promotion has certainly proved successful, receiving praise from newspapers and businesses alike. After being made aware of the opportunity to participate, NAPIT member Jo Collinson of Brighton Solar commented, ‘This is exactly the sort of intelligent marketing I am interested in!’
