Vent-Axia, a British ventilation manufacturer, has introduced the Lo-Carbon Revive 7, a smart ventilation unit developed for the social housing sector.
The system combines Vent-Axia’s fan technology with Switchee’s in-home connectivity to provide energy-efficient ventilation, real-time environmental monitoring, and tamper-proof performance.
The launch comes ahead of Awaab’s Law, which comes into force on 27 October and requires social housing landlords to investigate and resolve damp and mould issues within strict timeframes.
Real-time monitoring for landlords and residents
The Revive 7 offers continuous monitoring of indoor air quality, including humidity, temperature, and fan usage.
The system gives early warnings of damp, mould, or poor air quality, enabling housing providers to target resources and support residents more effectively.
Direct messaging functions allow landlords to share environmental advice with tenants without entering properties.
Ashley Smith, Product Manager at Vent-Axia, says, “The popular Revive 7 already offers landlords energy-efficient ventilation that effectively tackles condensation and mould with a datalogger which tracks fan usage to ensure it is used as intended.
“We have now enhanced this capability with the Revive 7, which is a future-ready combination, providing real-time IAQ data and helping landlords tackle early indicators of problems, such as damp, mould, and condensation, while improving compliance, protecting housing stock, and enhancing tenant wellbeing.”
Updated design features
The Revive 7 is a filterless, energy-efficient unit designed to tackle condensation and mould while operating quietly.
The latest version features a slimmer profile for easier installation, particularly in window applications, and includes both wall and ceiling mounting options with IPX4 and SELV models available.
The fan includes Smart Sense technology with an alphanumeric LED display and three-button menu for commissioning and data collection.
Lock settings prevent tampering, and a datalogger tracks usage patterns to support landlords in managing indoor air quality.
Vent-Axia says the mixed flow design helps maintain steady airflow at trickle speeds, avoiding unnecessary boosting.
Additional features include adjustable trickle speeds, humidity boost functions, and ambient response sensors to prevent nuisance tripping. The unit also incorporates Multi-Vortex technology, which removes the need for filters and helps reduce maintenance.
