Santander extends deal with GSH Group
Santander Global Facilities has extended its contract with GSH, provider of technology driven energy and facilities management solutions, for a further five years and increased the brief to include an additional 300 branches.Under the extended agreement GSH will be responsible for Santander’s UK network of 1,500 sites providing a hard facilities management solution including M&E services, planned preventative maintenance, fire risk assessment and internal and external fabric maintenance. The operation will be underpinned by the GSH Helpdesk which will handle all incoming calls to provide the retail network with a single point of contact for facilities management enquiries.
GSH will use its engineering resources across multiple contracts to reduce response times, avoid excessive travelling and achieve economies of scale. Around 350 engineers operate regionally to service up to nine separate customers in any one high street to ensure sites are maintained in a fast and efficient manner.
Nick Roberts, COO at Santander Global Facilities, commented, ‘GSH Group has been providing an effective facilities management solution across our retail network for the past five years. During this time they have demonstrated their ability to deliver a quality service that combines a highly skilled team with advanced management and operational processes.’
John Davy, group managing director at GSH, said, ‘We have developed a strong relationship with Santander based on trust and driven by results. This contract extension underlines our ability to add value to our customer’s operations and provide innovative solutions that meet their precise FM needs.’
