Ideal Heating, a UK manufacturer of boilers and heat pumps, has celebrated raising £325,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support since beginning its partnership with the charity in 2018.
The fundraising total has been achieved through a range of activities involving employees at Ideal Heating and its sister companies within Groupe Atlantic UK and Republic of Ireland, including sponsored events, bake sales, charity challenges, and workplace initiatives.
According to the company, more than £40,000 has been raised on average each year during the partnership.

“We’re delighted to have reached the £325,000 milestone, but we’re not stopping there. Our colleagues continue to find new and more creative ways of raising money, which reflects the community spirit and ethos we have embedded within our business.”
Employees continue long-term fundraising efforts
Fundraising has included sponsored runs, hikes, swims, bake sales, and participation in Macmillan’s annual Coffee Morning. Employees also contribute through a monthly “dress down Friday” initiative, with donations supporting both Macmillan and other charities chosen by colleagues.
The company says staff have also raised money through its employee boiler purchase scheme, where proceeds from discounted product purchases are donated to the charity.
Macmillan says the £325,000 raised could fund its Online Community platform for more than a year, supporting over 600,000 people affected by cancer across the UK. The charity also estimates the total could fund its Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line for more than 25 days.
