Heating systems manufacturer Ariston has expanded its heat pump water heater range with the introduction of the Nuos Plus S2 Wi-Fi, designed for domestic and light commercial applications.
The new unit uses R290 refrigerant and builds on the existing Nuos Plus Wi-Fi, with updates aimed at improving efficiency, installation flexibility, and system integration.
The system has an A+ energy rating and a coefficient of performance (COP) of up to 3.51. According to the manufacturer, this can deliver improved energy savings compared to traditional electric water heaters.
The use of R290 refrigerant also results in a low global warming potential (GWP) of 3.
The unit supports photovoltaic integration for properties with solar panels and can be connected with other Ariston systems.
Its design allows installation in a range of settings, including locations with limited ceiling height, without requiring significant structural changes.
Installation and control features
The Nuos Plus S2 Wi-Fi includes smart connectivity via Ariston Net, enabling remote monitoring and control. Users can adjust temperature settings, schedule operation, and track energy consumption.
The system operates at 48 dBA, with an optional night mode to reduce noise further. It also includes several operating modes, such as Green, Green+, Boost, and I-Memory, which adjust performance based on demand.
Additional features include a magnesium anode for corrosion protection, alongside tank protection technology designed to reduce limescale build-up and extend product lifespan.
