CBS ArcSafe introduces the RSK-iMPB1 remote operator for the Intelligent Medium Powerbar disconnect switches manufactured by E+I Engineering Group. Designed to remotely operate the on/off handle on tap-off disconnect boxes up to 250 A, the device can be installed over the handle whether it is in the on or off position.
Offered in wireless (RSK-iMPB1-W) and cabled (RSK-iMPB1-C) versions, the kits include the RSK-iMPB1 actuator, a Milwaukee CP2.0 rechargeable lithium battery, a 120 VAC Milwaukee battery charger, an instruction manual, and a carrying case. The wireless version comes with an RTL-1 handheld transmitter with 9 V battery, while the cabled version includes an RCL-1 handheld controller and a 30- or 50-foot cable.
Once the actuator is installed on the box, technicians can stand at a safe distance and use the controller to rotate the handle.
