ECN Awards 2024: First two category sponsors announced

Electrical Contracting News is delighted to announce the first two sponsors of the ECN Awards 2024. The event will take place on 5 December 2024 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Coventry.

This year we are welcoming back Selectric as sponsor of the Projects Category and introducing Hispec as sponsor of the Companies Category.

Selectric is a family-run business which was founded over 35 years ago. The company is a worldwide manufacturer, importer and exporter of electrical products and has over 4,000 products in its inventory.

Selectric’s wiring accessories and lighting products are supplied exclusively through electrical wholesalers in the UK, Ireland and export markets. The company endeavours to serve the needs of everyone; from its customers and the end users to all of its employees.

Selectric is committed to achieving a first-class experience for everyone it interacts with and the company says it is proud to be sponsoring the Projects Category at the ECN Awards 2024.

The Projects Category comprises the Sustainable Project of the Year and Overall Project of the Year awards and, due to the popularity of the category at the inaugural event last year, we have added the Lighting Project of the Year award.

Hispec will sponsor the Companies Category, which comprises the Manufacturer of the Year, Independent Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year, Chain Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year, Contractor of the Year (turnover under £5m) and Contractor of the Year (turnover over £5m) awards.

Established in 2002, Hispec has emerged as a trusted leader in the UK wholesale market, specialising in fire safety, emergency lighting, air quality and lighting products. Over the years, Hispec has consistently delivered exceptional solutions to meet the diverse needs of the industry. The company’s commitment to reliability and innovation has earned the trust of an extensive network of wholesale depots. Hispec prioritises service excellence, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The company’s comprehensive suite of solutions addresses the critical needs of various industries, making Hispec a preferred choice for those seeking life-saving safety measures.

“We are thrilled to sponsor the ‘Companies’ category at the ECN Awards 2024,” the company says. “This category celebrates outstanding achievements and contributions within the electrical contracting industry. As a company dedicated to providing reliable safety solutions, we understand the importance of recognising and honouring excellence in this field. Partnering with ECN allows us to support and celebrate the achievements of companies that share our commitment to excellence and innovation.”

Companies in the electrical contracting industry are leading the way in innovation and are constantly striving to improve safety, efficiency and sustainability in all sectors, and ECN believes it is important to recognise their efforts and achievements. If you believe your product, company or project deserves an ECN Award, please enter. Entries will open soon, so stay tuned for the announcement, which will include instructions on how to submit your entry.
