JTL, a training provider for electrical, plumbing and engineering apprenticeships, and the chief executives of Bury College have finalised the details of a new apprenticeship partnership which will bring exciting new opportunities to the local area.
Last month, JTL and Bury College announced the new partnership which will initially focus on the delivery of electrical apprenticeships. Charlie Deane, Bury College Principal and Chief Executive, and Jon Graham, JTL Chief Executive, met to agree the specifics of the provision and how this will add value to individual learners – who are looking to learn a trade, and Bury employers – who are interested in hiring new talent.
The partnership will provide young people with the opportunity to develop career-ready skills in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical services both inside and outside buildings and structures. In turn, local employers will benefit from having access to a home-grown talent pool.
Ultimately, this new provision will see both partners work pro-actively together to help meet the skill needs of employers and also encourage greater local economic prosperity.
