Martindale Electric has launched the Drummond MTL15 Test Lamp and the MTL15PD-S Kit, which includes a Test Lamp and Proving Kit.
The new Drummond MTL15 Test Lamp extends the application areas for Drummond test lamps to higher voltage installations. With AC/DC voltage indication thresholds of 50V, 230V, 400V and 690V plus a 1000V CAT IV safety rating, Martindale Electric says that the MTL15 is the ideal solution for proving dead in all installation categories as defined in BS EN 61010.
In common with all the existing Drummond MTL Series, the MTL15 test lamp does not require batteries and has no ranges or switches, ensuring reliable indication of hazardous voltages every time. The MTL15 is compatible with the six existing interchangeable test probe accessories to aid safe and easy measurement in all types of applications, particularly where access is restricted. In addition to the two standard 62mm straight probes, a 62mm angle probe is included.
High-intensity LEDs provide 360° visibility of hazardous voltage levels, even in bright sunlight, allowing users to easily differentiate between source voltages of varying supply types and precisely identify potentially lethal supply voltages exceeding 50V.
The MTL15PD-S encompasses the MTL15 Test Lamp complete with the PD690S Proving Device, all housed within the convenient TC71 Combination Carry Case. This TC71 soft carry case ensures that the proving device is always on hand and provides the simplest solution for implementing safe isolation practices onsite, following the Electricity at Work Regulations. The proving unit can be used conveniently without removing it from the case. The PD690S voltage and power output are matched to the MTL15 to illuminate all voltage bands and prove the test lamp is functioning correctly.
