The partnership, which will focus on the delivery of electrical and plumbing apprenticeships, will be taught in the Incuba part of the college and consist of both classroom and workshop-based learning. Each apprentice will be allocated a dedicated JTL Training Officer who will assist them through their learning process, as well as providing invaluable support to employers who have a JTL apprentice attending the college.
JTL is working with Central Bedfordshire College on the development of brand new workshops, which are set to open this Spring. The partnership will provide local young people with the opportunity to develop career-ready skills, which in turn will benefit local employers by giving them access to a homegrown talent pool.

By working collaboratively in sharing resources and great practice, the College and JTL can collectively offer skills and training solutions and opportunities that meet the skills gaps in this area; offering employers and prospective employees real support in more ways than ever before”.
A launch event will take place at the college in the Spring, which will give both employers and their trade representatives the opportunity to look around. Attendees will be introduced to JTL, Central Bedfordshire College staff and its apprentices. They will be able to see how both partners work pro-actively together to help meet the skill needs of employers and encourage greater local economic prosperity
