Lucibel will present its brand new generation LED panel and its new Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) concept designed for use in museums, galleries and showrooms.
Lucibel, a specialist in the design and production of innovative lighting solutions based on Light-Emitting Diode (LED) technology, will showcase two of its products at LuxLive 2014. The first is its brand new generation LED panel, which provides luminosity output to power consumption ratio. This product offers energy savings, outperforming similar products, and greatly increases the customer’s ROI.
Lucibel will also present its new Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) concept designed for use in museums, galleries and showrooms. For the first time, Lucibel has combined Li-Fi technology with LED lighting to transform existing LED lighting elements into Li-Fi emitters that can then remotely transmit multimedia content (sound, video, geolocation, etc.) to a tablet or smartphone.
Using an indoor geolocation application on a tablet device, visitors have direct and automatic access to interactive content corresponding to the object on display. This virtual guide gives traditional visits a whole new dimension, making them more natural and intuitive.
Lucibel’s solution is an integral part of the LED lighting element and requires no additional infrastructure or energy consumption. It can be featured in multiple applications, and reflects the company’s ambition to offer more than a simple lighting function, allowing customers to benefit from the many opportunities proposed by LED technology.
The multiple advantages of LEDs have made them the preferred technology for new lighting sources. LED lighting efficiency reduces energy consumption by up to 80 per cent compared to traditional technologies, increases operating life by up to 20 times, and can be controlled remotely or programmed to interact with its surroundings. Further advantages of LED technology include its homogenous, flicker-free luminous flux, excellent colour rendering, immediate illumination, lack of sensitivity to on/off switching cycles, and a wide range of integration and customisation possibilities.
The company develops and produces the majority of its products in its own factories in France, selecting the best components on the market and ensuring that technical aspects are constantly being improved. Lucibel focuses on the professional market segments in which its solutions contribute maximum added value to the customer, such as hotels and restaurants, offices and industry, public authorities, and retail.
As well as guaranteeing technical performance and energy efficiency, Lucibel also designs specific solutions adapted to client specifications and whose benefits go beyond lighting functions alone. Such benefits include product or site enhancement to boost customer visits and sales activity, a quality of light that improves well-being and productivity of employees, intelligent management of light sources to optimise energy consumption, and new functionalities such as the transmission of wireless data to enrich visitor experience.
Lucibel has a dedicated London based team that works closely with clients on their projects, advising and informing them about relevant applicable standards and undertaking return on investment studies. The team can also carry out studies into lighting, 3D simulations, and thermal dissipation.
