New flagship Marks & Spencer store equipped with Prysmian cables

The newly opened Marks & Spencer (M&S) superstore at Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port has been fully equipped with FP200 Gold fire resistant cables from Prysmian.

The store is the greenest M&S store and has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. Prysmian FP supplies the fire alarm and emergency lighting systems as well as all sub mains cabling and distribution boards.

All the FP was installed via main contractor Simons Group and Balfour Beatty Engineering Services (BBES).

M&S Cheshire Oaks is spread across 148,000ft2, making it the largest of all M&S stores and it uses a host of modern technologies to create a building 30 per cent more energy efficient than similarly sized stores. It opened successfully in August 2012.
