powerBall 2011 set to be best ever

Following on from its recent relaunch, the EEIBA is now gearing up for the 2011 powerBall, which promises to live up to its reputation as being the electrical and electronic industry’s event of the year.

Set to take place on Friday 11th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London, the charity reports that even at this point in the summer there are only a few tables waiting to be filled.

Top of the entertainment bill will be a musical spectacle from the cast of the West End hit ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’. The entire company of 21 singers, dancers and musicians from the record breaking musical will be hot footing across the city to perform some of the smash hits from the show.

Reflecting the fact it is also Armistice Day, this year’s theme is ‘The Best of British’ and to mark the date of 11.11.11. a 24 man marching band will be playing in tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the UK’s fallen war heroes. Guests will also enjoy five star dining and a host of fun activities including the ever popular stand up bingo, a raffle, a grand and silent auction. To ensure a successful night, the charity has once again enlisted the help of event planning expert Richard Birtchnell, who has been assisting with the organisation of the powerBall for the last 16 years.

Richard said, ‘We have had more interest for this year’s event than any other I can remember and I believe it could well prove to be our best ever. We’ve almost sold all available spaces so I would recommend those who want to come to contact us as soon as possible if they want to snap up one of the remaining tables.’

For powerBall bookings or to find out more about sponsorship opportunities, visit www.eeiba.org/powerball or call Richard Birtchnell, powerBall administrator on 020 7730 3725.

EEIBA is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland. The organisation was established in 1905 and provides help and financial support to existing and former employees in need from the electricity generation, distribution and supply industries as well as electrical and electronics manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing and contracting.
