Hand tools manufacturer KNIPEX has introduced the PreciForce SAC, a hand tool designed to combine cutting, stripping, and crimping functions for photovoltaic (PV) installations.
Developed for use with MC4 and MC4 Evo 2 connectors, the tool is intended for installers carrying out solar installation, maintenance, and repair work.
By integrating multiple functions into a single tool, the PreciForce SAC is designed to reduce the need to switch between tools during installation and maintenance tasks.
The tool incorporates a lever transmission system to reduce the force required during crimping while maintaining consistent results.
An integrated release lock compliant with IEC 60352 requirements prevents crimp completion until the required pressure has been reached.
Designed for MC4 solar connector systems
The crimping pressure is factory set and locked, while a fixed die is intended to provide consistent performance when working with MC4 connector systems.
KNIPEX says the tool has been designed to be compact and lightweight, helping improve handling during extended periods of use and when working in confined spaces.
The PreciForce SAC is also compatible with the KNIPEX Set of Mounting Tools, allowing installers to use it as part of a wider PV installation toolkit.
The company says the combination of cutting, stripping, and crimping functions is intended to simplify workflows for solar installers and reduce the number of tools required on site.
