Makita introduces new modular tool storage system

Makita, a manufacturer of power tools and outdoor equipment, has launched a modular storage system designed for trade professionals who need secure and adaptable options for transporting and organising tools.

The system features a rolling tool chest that forms its base and it can accommodate longer tools with its horizontal layout.

A dual-hinged removable lid provides access from both sides and the large latches can be opened while wearing safety gloves, making it suitable for use on site.

Modular design for flexibility

The track-mounted, stackable system allows toolboxes and organisers to be securely attached to one another.

In total, there are seven components: four toolboxes – including large, extra-large extension, medium, and rolling versions – and three organiser boxes designed for parts, fittings, and fasteners.

The rolling chest includes a retractable handle, non-slip grips, and a rear support handle for easier loading and unloading. With a capacity of 82 litres and a load rating of 113kg, it also has rugged wheels designed to handle uneven ground.

Each box and organiser includes reinforced metal padlock eyelets and a slot for a security tracker. Gasket-sealed lids provide protection against dust, dirt, and water ingress.

Lyndsey Bailey, Accessories Product Manager at Makita, says, “The Makita storage system has been thoughtfully designed to align with the realities of how trade professionals work, and with the highest level of attention to detail.

“The system addresses key challenges such as transporting tools to and from site, loading and unloading, storage, security, and accessibility. We are proud of the flexibility it offers, allowing users to adapt the system to their needs from job to job.”
