RMD Power & Cooling appointed to NHS CPC framework

RMD Power and Cooling has been approved to maintain uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and generators by the NHS Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NHS CPC), an NHS owned national procurement organisation, which delivers millions of pounds of efficiencies and value added benefits to the NHS.

The four year framework is currently in effect and enables RMD to provide periodic maintenance and servicing of UPS and generators.

John Smykala, RMD Power and Cooling’s managing director, said, ‘We are delighted to be entrusted by NHS CPC to carry out this essential work and provide key services to the public sector through this new procurement route. The contract award proves that despite tough economic pressures, RMD has the strength and ability to grow and expand.’

The NHS CPC acts as an agent on behalf of NHS organisations throughout England. It works collaboratively to make savings on everything from pharmaceuticals to printer cartridges.

As well as cash releasing savings NHS CPC offers expert consultancy services on healthcare contracting and compliance and skills transfer, helping organisations to enhance their ratings in three world class commissioning competencies. Since becoming established in 2007 it has delivered millions of pounds’ worth of financial savings which have gone back into the NHS.
