Wieland’s RST MINI- the small, compact and powerful connector

Wieland Electric’s RST MINI is a complete installation system that adheres to the trend towards compact designs and comprises of connectors, device connectors, cable assemblies, and distributors. With small dimensions, this installation connector can be used in confined spaces quick and safe installation, even under harsh installation conditions.

The RST MINI can be used in a variety of lighting schemes and electrical applications that require a cross-section from 0.25 to 2.5mm².  The RST MINI offers a comprehensive network of factory pre-assembled and carefully tested components of electrical connection technology.  As the system is universally pluggable, it provides a safe solution from the distribution unit to every point of use.  The RST MINI series also features a smart twist-lock locking mechanism. In addition to its compact design features, it is ‘quick and easy to install’ according to Wieland, providing a reduction in installation time of up to 70%.

The compact RST MINI is the ideal solution for applications in the field of luminaire installation that require a higher IP protection class, as it is equipped with protection class IP66/68(3m; 2h)/69. The RST MINI system is certified according to IEC 61535, i.e. in detail offering protection against electric shock, secure closure of unused ports, protection against dangerous mix-ups by colour coding (6 colours/20 codes), and minimum contact resistance.

The RST MINI connector is perfect for a wide range of indoor and outdoor installations such as façade lighting, event lighting and ceiling lighting transition between outdoor and indoor applications. It can also be installed in areas of humidity such as warehouses and also in areas such as marine applications where there is also high salt content in the air.
