Signify launches emergency lighting system, Interact

Signify, a Dutch multinational lighting corporation, has launched a new wireless emergency lighting system that allows building managers to monitor, control, and test emergency lighting through a secure, cloud-based dashboard.

The system, powered by Signify’s Interact connected lighting platform, is designed to automate function and duration testing while providing real-time insights and alerts on system performance.

It enables building operators to oversee both general and emergency lighting from a single interface and supports detailed compliance reporting in line with local emergency lighting regulations.

Automated testing and simplified compliance

Signify says the Interact Building Manager application streamlines the testing process by allowing multiple schedules and generating automatic performance reports for regulatory documentation.

The system also supports proactive maintenance and helps ensure compliance with emergency lighting standards.

James Bennett, Commercial Director at Signify UK&I, explains, “For building managers and maintenance teams, regular testing and maintenance of emergency lighting is essential, but can be time-consuming and prone to human error.

“The new Interact system provides visibility and control, along with regular proof of performance to help meet compliance requirements while reducing operational complexity.”

The range includes several configurations to meet different building needs, such as general lighting fixtures with integrated emergency functions, and wireless exit signs and emergency luminaires.

According to Signify, both general and emergency lighting can be deployed and managed under a single contract and dashboard, helping to simplify operations and reduce maintenance costs.

James continues, “With our connected wireless emergency lighting portfolio, building operators can find tailored options to support cost efficiency, compliance, and streamlined operations.

“Signify’s experience in both general and emergency lighting allows us to act as a single partner for a wide range of applications.”

Signify says its Interact platform already supports millions of connected light points globally and is built on cybersecurity principles that protect the confidentiality and integrity of user data.
