BEG celebrates four decades of innovation

The German manufacturer, founded in 1975 by and still owned by the Brück family as Brück Electronic GmbH, began developing emergency lighting and exit sign products for commercial businesses.

In 1986 BEG became one of the first companies in Germany to manufacture motion detectors for automatic lighting control. Today, it is recognised in Europe as one of the oldest and most respected producers of indoor and outdoor motion, occupancy and vacancy sensors for energy saving in buildings.

BEG operates directly in Germany, France, UK, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Hungary, Spain, Poland, and Czech Republic and this year brought its products to the USA with the launch of a new company, BEG Controls in Atlanta, Georgia. The company also moved its headquarters to a new state-of-the-art facility in Lindlar, near Cologne in Germany.

BEG director for UK & Ireland Paul Jones said, ‘BEG’s 40th anniversary is a tremendous milestone for the company and we are very proud of this achievement.

‘BEG has stood the test of the time and after four decades is still providing innovative building control solutions to our customers, and we are very grateful for their support and encouragement in allowing us to continue to develop solutions for their needs. Customer satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.’
