LIA supports ‘Switch the Lights’ campaign

Whilst there is no doubt that the message is understood very well by major retailers the independent sector is slower to adopt this technology and the BRC is concerned that it’s members are missing out on huge energy savings.

The ‘Switch the Lights’ Campaign will be launched in a series of workshops around the country over the next three months where retailers will hear from industry experts, hear about best practice case studies, tour shopping centre venues and come away with energy saving tips.

‘There are specific issues for smaller independent retailers in refurbishing their lighting systems and the campaign aims to inform this large sector to enable them to benefit from the enormous energy saving opportunity’ said Peter Hunt, The LIA, COO.
