Faster charging proves popular for Niglon customers

Demand for ultra-fast charging in homes and other buildings is rising in line with our increased reliance on phones and other devices.

Hence the success of the recently-launched sockets with inbuilt USB-C chargers brought to the market by Niglon.

USB-Cs are able to charge a smart phone up to 70% faster than standard chargers, and are increasingly being used by those seeking a quick battery boost, given even ten minutes plugged into one of these sockets is enough to make a big difference to the power levels of a phone or tablet.

Niglon’s Commercial Director Paul Dawson explains: “We know contractors and developers are seeing an increase in demand for USB-C charging as they’re not only quicker, but they’re also becoming standard on many more new smartphones and tablets.

“That’s why we decided to launch our Median 2 Gang 13A Switched Socket with both a USB-A and a USB-C port – ideal for use in a family home where multiple devices might need charging at the same time, or within an office environment for example.

“We’ve seen the product flying off the shelves, especially as we have priced these products very favourably so wholesalers can offer them for a fantastic price to installers.”
